Demon Hunter

Demon Hunter es una banda Norte Americana de metal alternativo provenientes de Seattle, Washington, fundada por los hermanos Don Clark y Ryan Clark. Los integrantes de Demon Hunter son cristianos y expresan sus creencias en muchas de sus canciones. A pesar de que los hermanos Clark crearon la banda, solo uno de ellos, Ryan, permanece en ella, ya que Don dejó la agrupación para hacerse cargo de su familia.A principios del 2010 la banda había vendido más de un millón de álbumes.

El grupo ha cosechado muchos grandes trabajos y se han mantenido entre el metal alternativo, hardcore y metalcore con claras influencias del metal tradicional (thrash metal específicamente)

Fue inicialmente formado como un proyecto de los hermanos Clarks, quienes habían tocado juntos en las bandas Coalesce y Neurosis influenciados previamente por una banda más experimental, Training For Utopia. Ryan había tocado anteriormente en una banda de Hardcore llamada Focal Point, con quienes lanzó un álbum cuando este era un adolescente.

Demon Hunter apareció por primera vez en un álbum recopilatorio llamado This is Solid State, Vol. 3 con su primera canción grabada, "Through the Black" y fue lanzado en el 2002.El álbum debut homónimo de Demon Hunter salió a la venta en Octubre del 2002 a través deTooth and Nail Records, un subsidio de Solid State Records. Ryan y Don escribieron todas las canciones y tocando la mayoría de los instrumentos (cuando aún Ryan cantaba en Training For Utopia) excepto la batería, la cual fue tocada por Jesse Sprinkle.

En un principio, los miembros de la banda decidieron ocultar sus identidades en fotos y a la prensa.Sus nombres fueron revelados cuando se llevó a cabo su primera gira, junto con uno de los pesos pesados de Noruega, Extol y con los Metalcoreros con influencia de death metal de The Agony Scene, todo esto más aparte la integración permanente de Jesse Sprinkle en la batería, Jon Dunn en el bajo y Kris McCaddon (ex Embodyment 6 )en la guitarra líder.
